Holsted, Denmark — Active Carbon Filter: Pre-Purification of Gas Using Acting Carbon Filter

When using other gas upgrading methods than Ammongas plants, it is necessary to pre-clean the gas before upgrading. This was the situation in Holsted, where a plant from another supplier was not able to reach the required gas quality without pre-cleaning. Ammongas delivered an active carbon filter to remove H₂S and VOC’s from the gas. The system consists of an active carbon filter, which removes H₂S and VOC’s from 500 m3/h of biogas, and helps the clean methane reach the gas grid.
